Toxic Torts And Environmental Litigation
A toxic tort is a type of personal injury that can result from exposure to man-made toxins or chemicals in the environment. Frighteningly, sometimes dangerous toxins are odorless and invisible. They can be in the air, ground or water, and in our homes or workplaces, and exposure to or consumption of them can result in serious injuries.
Injury can also result from exposure to things that grow in our natural environment. For example, mold is ubiquitous in nature and virtually all buildings, including homes, have some mold. Many molds are harmless to humans. However, there are other types of mold that are toxic and can result in severe injury especially with long-term or significant exposure.
